Description
Food Pairing
This is the ideal pairing with steak and other rich red meats such as lamb and venison. This wine also pairs perfectly with intense and strong cheeses such as an aged cheddar or Parmigiano-Reggiano.
Winemaking Notes
2016 was a fantastic vintage for red wines – the dry, hot summer and cool fall allowed for healthy vines to produce perfectly ripe fruit for ageworthy red wines. Aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels, the final blend was selected from the finest barrels to produce an elegant, powerful, ageworthy wine. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
